Some of the best lyrics I've ever listened to are that of the great Bobby McFerrin, who can quite literally bring me from a state of despair to smiling, wiping away the tears, and actually laughing. If you're having a frustrating week like I've been, sometimes it's important to remember what is the most precious thing you have, and to focus on that. This week has been so utterly pressing. Ok, ok, so no-one has died, and everyday I thank the world for that, but it's just endless little things that get me down, but I think I've found a way to combat it.
Listening to music can honestly be soul-destroying, or soul-rebuilding depending on the type of music that you listen to, and that suits you. For me, I listen to the most varying mixture of music humanly possible, and this suits my taste, a little eclectic, like my style. It seems appropriate that your music taste should suit your fashion style, and it suits me perfectly. However, sometimes there is only one type of music that'll lift your spirits, and for me, Bobby McFerrin always fits the bill, regardless of time, date, location. Basically, there is no exception.
If you're having a frustrating week, and let's face it, this weather, and all these cold/flu viruses going around, I don't know a single person who doesn't feel in some way affected by it, then settle in, get yourself a cup of tea, and listen to some 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' this weekend, you may just find yourself clicking along, or perhaps even bopping a little, or even better, listen to Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole's 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' as featured in many beautiful BBC wildlife documentaries. I adore this music, and for me, it will bring me to complete and utter calm.
I also feel that I should justify the lack of fashion posts, truth be told, there aren't enough hours in the day, I have such huge plans, and yet I get home at 5.10pm everyday from college, tired and uninspired, so there is no natural lighting to take photos with, and I feel so grungy after such a long day, all I want to do is shower, drink tea and get my onesie on. I just keep hoping, and hoping, someday soon, I'll be done with college, have some qualifications, and can get out into the real world, work for a living and eventually, get my own house. I guess your mind pays the price for continuous routine, and never ending hurdle jumping. All I can say is; stick in there, it won't be forever.
I hope that if any of you are feeling sad, tired or frustrated, that you'll feel better soon, don't worry, every cloud has a silver lining.

There's a lot of things I have planned for thegirlcriedfashion, but more recently, I've been working on:
So if you haven't checked it out, please go and have a look at it, it's again, a work in progress, just like this blog seems to be at the moment. I guess I should probably explain that, I'm a bit 'fidgety' with my blog layout and design at the moment, I'm still learning how to get my blog just how I want it, but I am being a bit fussy about the layout of both this blog, and thegirlcriedbeauty, so they both kepe getting very extreme makeovers. I'll be happy with it eventually, but since turning 19, I've been feeling like I want my blog to reflect my age a bit more, be a bit more grownup and 'prim and proper'. I do have plans to get more photos for this blog, it bothers me a lot that I never have the time to take any, as a full time A-Level student, I just don't get the time to take photos for it, let alone edit them.
It's sad, but true, but I do desperately wish to change that, so hopefully, in the near future, it'll be looking so much better visually.
I'm excited for the progression changes to this blog, hopefully it shouldn't be too long, but I cannot gurantee a specified date/time frame, since as I said, being a full time student, my studies need to come first, since I strongly believe that getting a good foundation at this age can and will set you up for the rest of your life, since after all, we can't all expect a wonder to come along and for us to be made blogger/youtube famous overnight unfortunately, although I can dream, aha!
So, that's what's in the works, and since I'm at college without access to some photos, I'll post a pretty Tumblr photo to make you feel more like I'm keeping to the plan!

Thankfully I finish college at 12.45pm today, so I'm going to go straight to town and have a browse in some shops, since I have a giftcard from my birthday that requires investing!

Have a beautiful day, whatever you do with it, and remember, the glass is ALWAYS half full.
Enjoy yourself, make the most of your day, and don't stress over the little things!

I just thought I should put it up, since it's my blog, and hey, I'm really excitable today, because....
it's my 19th birthday!
So I just wanted to say to everyone, whatever you have planned today, if you have school, college, work, whatever you are doing,
I'm certainly going to enjoy every minute of it!

Everyone needs a little inspiration sometimes, and so, I'd like to recommend some excellent music that has either given me inspiration and enough of a buzz to get on and do what I need to do, so here is a list of what I've chosen, and why.
1. Lorde - "Royals" : This song is very slow with heavy beats, and it is excellent for if you are doing paced written work, and want something with a little movement to get you through the work in front of you.
2. Laura Mvula - "That's Alright" : This song is truly inspiring, it's full of beats and you just feel like you want to dance to it, whenever and wherever you are, regardless of the situation. I feel like this gives me an internal rhythm to get me through the day, and because it is pacey, it is encouraging and fun to listen to. I highly recommend getting it on your playlist for long days!
3. Laura Mvula - "Green Garden" : Yet another by Laura Mvula, and on the same album, this song is also beautifully paced, and upbeat, and has a great rhythm if you are trying to get your pace and get on with work! I love how light and breezy these songs are, and therefore they are not too heavy for everyday listening.
4. Avicii - "Hey Brother" : Another great release by Avicii, this doesn't disappoint. Avicii's music is extremely beaty, heavy and rhythmic, I highly recommend putting it on your playlist to go, it's great for journeys that are stressful as they give you the determination you need to get through the day.
5. Justin Timberlake - "Mirrors" : Okay, so excuse the exceptionally slow start to this track, and once you've gotten to the chorus, you'll be really enjoying this song, it is great for long distance listening, and it's got rather meaningful and beautiful words, which makes it easy listening if you're writing a rather long piece of work!
6. Pharrel Williams - "Happy" : This song is excellently pacey, has a great rhythm, and gets you up and out of your seat, you just want to do a Garfield dance with the whole swinging thing. Not sure what I'm taking about? Not seen Garfield? Then one, go order yourself a copy of Garfield 1 and 2 on DVD (What were you thinking? You've been missing out!!) and if you have seen it, but can't recall, then see below:
Now you know my 'go-to' tracks, and you've seen a cartoon cat shaking it to 'Happy' by Pharrel Williams, what a good day it's been!

If you do, the best way to do so is to join me on social media platforms, you can find me at the following places:
Also, if you wish to follow my blog, there are two ways in which you can do so, you can either take the 'bloglovin' route, which requires a bloglovin' account, to do so, just click the bust of the woman on the right of the page, or, you can do so through google, which requires a google+ login, which is the same as YouTube, so you just scroll beneath the bust of the woman, and click 'join this site with google friend connect', and then you can get updates as and when I post!
I just wanted to let you know the ways in which you can keep up with me if you so choose to!
I'm very excited today, it's 3 days until my birthday!! I have lots of plans for my YouTube this year, and I can't wait to show you the results when I have prepared them.
Have a lovely day,

Wow, it can't have hit 200?! Can it?!
Well, yes, we've done it! Actually, we've got 209 of you lovely, kind people subscribed to me! Despite only starting my blog late July 2013, and YouTube last September, I'm amazed at how many of you have been watching, and engaging with my videos! Of course, there are dislikes, but that's all part of the YouTube experience, and I'm having an amazing time.
Thank you to each and every one of you for joining me in this exciting celebratory post! What better way to thank you, than with the one and only cartoon god that is Pusheen the cat?!

Yes, I did oblige in a celebratory non-alcoholic Shloer celebration in pink fizz, and I am just so utterly thrilled.

Some new videos coming soon, one all ready to be uploaded, and lots of plans for others, but I'd like to give you the chance to request a video. So, is there anything in particular you'd like to see? As always, I'm not prepared to do silly things, but an ask video, or something of the sorts could be arranged if you were interested!

So, get those corks popping, and have a wonderful weekend. Pray for those of us going back to college/school/etc this week!
